Pathways to a meaningful engagement: an online showcase of knowledge and communication products

Since February, IUCN has facilitated a Knowledge Sharing Journey, a joint experience capitalisation led by the Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services in Territories of European Overseas initiative (BEST) and the Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management Programme (BIOPAMA).

In a combination of online and in-person workshops, this knowledge management process has brought together 55 grantees and 20 IUCN staff members from Africa, the Pacific, and the Caribbean to engage in discussions, share insights, and document the mechanisms of these two grant facilities, as well as the results and lessons learned from their granted projects.

As a continuation of the process initiated in the first half of the year, this community of dedicated practitioners, experts, and enthusiasts of biodiversity, conservation and restoration, gathered online again on the 27th and 28th of September to harness the knowledge acquired during the Journey and further exchange experiences and innovative ideas.
